Sharon - I would be happy to exchange info on this line. I have seen the Andrew Sr. reference, too, but James Sympson was the one who originally bought the property in Westmoreland that Andrew and Thomas inherited. If they were using the Scotch-Irish naming pattern - like a lot of my other families were - it would make more sense for James (the third son) to be named after his father, too. I haven't been able to find a Andrew Sr. that fits with this group - have you? I would be happy to send you anything I have here. I have some information on Mary Simpson Wallace wife of Richard Wallace -descendants of her line have told me that she is the aunt of Andrew, Thomas and James.
