First of all I give and recommend my Soul into the Hand Almighty God that gave it. And my Body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty Power of God - as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life. I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. First I give and bequeath to Elizabeth my Dearly beloved Wife all my Personal Estate except my Blacksmith Tools- for the space of twelve years or while she is a widow to have and to ! hold all benefits for the bringing up the small Children and Suport (support) of my Family. Smith Tools to be sold to the best advantach (advantage) and an Invetariam (inventory?) to be made four week after my decease and to be returned to the proper Officer for the aforesaid County. And further I give any Executor full Power to sell a Sartain (certain) quantity acres of Land of the Wast (west) end of my Plantation to best advantach (advantage) for to pay the Debts that is due or to become due on my land and I give full Power to my beloved wife Elizabeth to gave a lawfull deed of conveyance for the same. Further after the above mentioned time or twelve years is expired I gave my Executors full Power and Authority to sall (sell) all Real and Personal Estate and the one third of the same to gave to my beloved Wife Elizabeth for her on (own) proper use and behuf (benefit?) during life and after her decease it shall fall to my Children and to be divided in equal Shares. And the! other two thirds is to be divided in eight shares that is to say to m y eldest Son, John shall be intitled to ten pounds more than his equal Share and my Second Son George and third Son Jacob and my eldest Daughter Elioner and my Second Daughter Elizabeth and my third Daughter Catharina and my fourth Daughter Susana and my fifth Daughter Sarah the (they) are all to have an equal Shear (share) of my Real and personal Estate, further I do hereby nominate apint (appoint) and ordain my beloved Wife Elizabeth to be an Executrix with full power to gave Deeds of Conveyances of my Sand when soald (sold), as above described with the consent of my other two Executors which I nominate and apint (appoint) - Nicholas Gost and Michl Motz. And I do hereby retify (ratify) and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testement. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twenty seventh Day of July in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety three. On the twenty ninth day of October A. Domi. 1793. Personally Cometh Frederick Stober & Jacob Hosterman two of the Subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing Will or Instrument of writing. And made Oath on the holy Evangelists of Almighty God. That they saw John Lotz subscribe with his own hand his name to the same & heard him publish & declare it to be his last Will and Testament, and that they together with Jacob Stober Subscribed their names as Witnesses to the same. That this happened in the Sickness of the said John Lotz, and that he was at the time of so doing of sound and disposing mind & memory. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand the day & Year aforesaid. J. Simpson Reg. Be it remembered That on the twenty ninth Day of October in the Year of our Lord 1793, before me was proved and approved the last Will and Testament of the said John Lotz Dece'd Of which the foregoing Record is a true Copy, and Letters Testamentary issued in due and Common Form of Law. To Elizabeth Lotz, Nicholas Gost and Michael Motz, Executors therein named on the same day, Witness my Hand the same day & Year.
