I have a death certificate for George Milton Rodkey which lists his father as Frederick Rodkey and his mother as Catherine Foglesong. On 6 May 1825, Catherine Rotkey was granted Letters of Administration on the estate of Frederick Rotkey, deceased. She is said to have later married a man named Godfrey Harpen, and they moved to Cookport, Indiana Co., Pa. Catherine Rodkey (1810-1886) married John Learn in 1834. The Learn's had a farm near Cookport. George Milton Rodkey kept his father's name, and I can only assume Frederick's other children may have done the same. I can find no other Rodkeys living in the Cookport area at that time (1834), so I again assume that Catherine (1810-1886) was probably George Milton's sister and the daughter of Frederick Rodkey and Catherine Foglesong. I have searched high! and low for additional information about Catherine Foglesong but have never found anything. There were Foglesongs living in Frankstown Twp., Huntingdon Co., Pa., in 1810, 1820, 1830, but I can't connect them. Maybe one of you will have more luck.
