Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning. Short services in the home at 9:00 a.m. will be followed by High Mass in St. John The Baptist Russian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church at Black Lick. The Very Rev. Wasily Kostyshak will officiate and burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, in charge of the Askey Funeral Home, Homer City. On Dec 27 a Thanks was placed in the paper We wish to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the acts of kindness, messages of sympathy, .... at the time of death of our father and husband, Joseph Kundla. Also for the use of cars Wife and Family Indiana Evening Gazette Friday Jan 2, 1953 John Kundla Sr., of Graceton, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Dec 31, 1952 at 2:40 p.m. in the Indiana Memorial Hospital. Born May 7, 1880, Jakubjzny, Czechoslovakia, he has resided over 45 years in Graceton and was a member of S. S. Peter and Paul Greek Catholic Church and Greek Catholic Union Lodge, No 586 of Homer City; also a member of Graceton Local No 6248 U. N. W. of A. and for many years had been an employee of Coal mining Co. of Graceton, having retired form same seven years ago. Survivied by his wife, Anna Gabster Kundla; four sons, Steve Cleveland, Ohio, John Jr., Andrew, and Michael, all of Graceton; seven daughters, Mrs. Steve (Ann) Prebish, Graceton, Mrs. John (Kate) Raglani, Homer city, Mrs. Frank (Sue) Pavlick Jr., Graceton, Mrs. Steve (Eva) Sisac, Graceton, Mrs. Louis (Mary) Del Carlo, Graceton, Mrs. George (Vernie ) Vladick, New York City and Margaret at home; also 24 grandchildren , four great-grandchildren, and one sister Mrs. Kathryn Gabster of Czechoslovakia. Vesper servies at home Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7 00 p.m. Brief services will be conducted Monday, January 5 at 9:00 a.m., at the home followed by further services in S. S. Peter and Paul Greek Catholic Church, Homer City, Rev. Fr. Andrew J. Kertis will be the celebrant. Interment in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana. Arrangements in charge of Robinson's.
