POSS: 1870 US Census, Prairie City, McDonough Co, IL: Lowman, J. M., 39, master carpenter, real estate $12,000., personal $3050., b PA; Ann E., 28, b IN; William, 15, b OH; Jenny, 11, b IL; and 2 farm hands and a Swedish domestic girl. I'm afraid the trail seems to end there. But I offer it as a token of appreciation for your lead. I am also looking for any info on Elizabeth McFarland's brother Robert (b abt 1808), m Rose Lowman (POSS John's sister?) w/a son Thomas, who died of Leavenworth, Ks.
