I know Nancy passed away sometime between 1860 and 1867 as James was married to second wife, Rachel B. Reeves by sometime in 1867 at the latest. James and Nancy had four children that I am aware of, Harriet, Nancy Jane, Clark L. and Henry M. Pierce, but I only have approximate birthdates for them, 1849, 1854, 1857 and 1859, respectively. The bio also notes Harriet married a "Schreecongost" and Nancy married a D. Penrod, both found in the 1880 census, Harriet with David "Schreckenghost" with 5 children, Jane and Daniel Penrod with 2 children, but nothing on any other descendants. I have an approximate birthdate on Nancy Jane of 1825, but you have 1827 and if you have this confirmed in any way, I would like that information. My names for James' family are based in part on a brief bio for James B. PEIRCE posted on one of the India! na county websites, and some census transcriptions. I have not taken a big look at this branch yet, so I will have to come back around for a good search and will pass on what I find. How do you relate to this part of our family?
