    2. Gene this is an important question! Are you by any chance elated to the Elizabeth Warner who married James Little? It is not a very common name and they lived in Indiana county in the late 1700's early 1800's. They are my ancestors on three lines about 6 or 7 generations back Meryle > I hope you all will forgive this little aside. > > I'm Gene Warner, Director of the LDS Indiana, Pa., > Family History Center located on old Rt. 119 north of > Indiana, Pa. 3. The H may stand for Hendrickson and not Henderson. There is an Amariah Hendrickson, who may be in my family tree (haven't been able to make a reliable connection in my case). You might research from that angle. I've found Amariah in several databases on the net, but the trail grows cold because of no/missing records.

    3. I have been searching for the parents of Amariah H. REED(1826-1884) for several years. Another researcher suggested that the H. stands for Henderson, thus I am looking into a connection between REED-HENDERSON. One such connection exists between Alexander REED, b. 1803 and his wife Lucy HENDERSON, b. 1800. Lucy and Alexander were married around 1824-25 and Amariah was born in 1826. So the numbers work. Lucy was the daughter of John HENDERSON (1772-1844) and Letitia FULLERTON (1777-1858). I find Alexander and Lucy in Young Twp. in the 1850 census. Their children are listed as John, 21; William, 19; Jane, 17; Alex, 15; Robert, 13; Samuel, 10; and Lettice (Letitia), 8. In 1850 my Amariah REED is found with his future father-in-law's family, John BUTTERBAUGH, so there is no evidence in the census that Amariah may a son of Alexander and Lucy REED. Alexander, Lucy and all of the children are missing from the 1860-1880 census. I cannot find them anywhere, which suggests that they moved. Any info as to the parents of Alexander REED and a complete listing of his children, and the familie's whereabouts in 1860-1880 would be appreciated. Thanks

    3. Does anyone have data on the George, Arms, Smith, and Mcginity families of Indiana County. Also there is a Chambers family that ties into this group. George W. Ford of NC married Rebecca Alice Smith whose mother was a George. Any help or suggestions most appreciated. Tony Keefer

    3. My mother was born in 1902 in the county and she is in the county records for "Delayed Birth Certificates"; they are on film thru the LDS Family History Centers or of course at the county. Pretty interesting to look at, not a whole lot of info though. 1. [INDIANA] ANTHONY Reunion - Indiana Progress, October 14, 1896

    3. Indiana Progress, October 14, 1896 THE ANTHONYS REUNE The Meeting of the Decendants of an Old Family. On June 13, 1889, at the old homestead in Armstrong township was held a reunion of the descendants of Wm. and Nancy ANTHONY. All the brothers and sisters were present except Mrs. Nancy LOWMAN, who had passed away. On October 9, 1896, another was held in the beautiful and spacious home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. FLEMING on the banks of Crooked creek, in a valley surrounded by lofty hills which tower heavenward, some of which look drear and hoary with age, while others are still crowned with the original forest of stately oak and chestnut in their primitive beauty. The brothers and sisters present were: David ANTHONY, his wife and their descendants; William ANTHONY, M.D., of Prescott, Kan., who has resided in that state for more than 30 years; Mrs. Eliza GRAHAM, her husband and their descendants; Mrs. Susanna TAYLOR and her husband, son and daughters. Mr. Samuel HENDERSON was present, but his wife Mrs. Margaret HENDERSON, was not there, being an invalid and feeble from the frosts of 83 years. Mr. John ANTHONY was not present but is still living in Indiana, being 81 years of age. During the past seven years the family circle has been broken by the death of J. J. ANTHONY and wife, A. T. ANTHONY and wife and Mrs. John ANTHONY. The brothers, sisters and other relatives present numbered 78. All came with well laden baskets and when the noon hour arrived the table was spread with the richest of our Heavenly Father's bounties. Rev. W. J. WILSON presided at the head of the table and invoked a blessing on the food prepared. All did ample justice to the good things. After dinner Mr. J. Elder PEELOR made an appropriate address in which he presented Dr. Wm. ANTHONY, who was the guest of all, a beautiful golden chain as a token of their esteem, as an emblem of their truest friendship, which binds us all together in the golden chain of love and memory. Mr. ANTHONY responded in a few appropriate words, thanking them for the beautiful gift which will ever be cherished as a memento of his Pennsylvania friends. Rev. W. J. WILSON then made a short address on the social enjoyment in a family reunion. He exhorted all to so live that we may all meet in the grand reunion in our heavenly home. The little time left was spent in social converse. During the afternoon SMITH, the Indiana photographer, took a picture of the entire party. We extend to our old and new friends which it has been our pleasure to meet a cordial invitation to come to Kansas and visit us in our western home--in Kansas, the bright gem, the queen of the West. 3. The Handy Book for Genealogists (7th Ed so not real new) says that for Georgia the divorce records are kept by the Superior Court Clerk in county where divorce was granted. No indication given for where they might be in the Pa. county but would assume that if the divorce was in Ga. that is where the records would be. Clara
