She was born in 1852 in Grant Twp, married Miles C. BUTTERBAUGH in Cookport in 1869, and with him raised nine children (listed below). She died in 1911 and is buried in East Mahoning Baptist Cemetery. She appears in many Butterbaugh-related genealogies, a family whose lineage is well documented. I have documentation of several branches of the Gilhousen family who lived in or near Indiana County at one time or other, but I cannot place her for certain in any of them, and her name appears in the work of none of the family researchers. Children of Miles C. & Geanetta Butterbaugh: Benton (1870), Mary Ellen (1872), Jesse (1874), Edwin (1876), Cora (1878), Ida (1880), Emery (1884), Laura (1886) & Leroy (1893) Interestingly, the Gilhousen and Butterbaugh families intersect again a few generations later. The Smicksburg Cemetery is located on the main road going out of town (Smicksburg). It cannot be missed. I do not know if your family is buried there or not as I do not have a listing. But I have been there myself and eventually will be going back as I have discovered more family buried there.
