I took a que from the Isenberg Posting - For any Families that have been in Indiana and Cambria Counties for some time please check out my pages below. http://www.hitchhikers-guide.com/tempsite/surnames.htm I just put online 2088 Family Group Sheets (With Index) dating from 1800 through the present. These are all descendants of Isaiah and Abraham Boring who moved to Indiana Co. circa 1814. There are Hundreds of Surnames of individuals who the Borings married into during this time period and their descendants - Tons of them are still there. Due to constraints, I have not put on the Ancestors of the Non-Boring's although I also have ton's of that Information. If you see any connections or see that I do not have some information please contact me. I am trying to find and document ALL OF THEIR DESCENDANTS. If you know any of the BORING Family, please ask to to contact me. I've never found any Boring's in these or surrounding counties who are not related. Thanks. TJ

There are no birth records in governmental or civil records for Indiana County and most Pennsylvania counties except for the years 1852-1854 and about 1892 through 1905. These would be at the courthouse. From 1906 and after they would be at New Castle, PA for most counties (excluding the 4 largest cities in PA). My great great great grandfather Samuel Douglas Adams was supposed to have been born Feb 23, 1811 in Indiana Pa. Gilhuyser 18 Domestic Servant Louis V. 11, works on farm (buried in Greenwood in 1947 (poor ground)) M.A. (I believe this is Mary Ann) 9 D.E. (David E.) 8 (buried in Greenwood Section 26R in 1939) S.E.V. (I believe this is Sarah Eliza V.?) 7 J.C.P. (Julia Celestia P.) 4 (married Lewis Blair Kelly about 1910. Lived Indiana. Buried Oakwood in 1949.) Also, in Section 26R in Greenwood is a Glenn C. Gilhousen who died 27 Oct 1915, but I don't know where he fits in. I have extensive information on Julia, but nothing on the rest of the family except that Susan or Sarah married a Mr. Benson from England and raised one of Julia's children. Would love to learn more, especially the parents of Benjamin. Census indicates no birthplace for father, so perhaps father died young (mother born PA). Kathy
