    3. Does anyone have access to a copy of the "History of Indiana County, Pennsylvania" by J.A. Caldwell, 1880? I would like to know if there is any reference to a Robinson family. I'm searching for information on a John Robinson b. abt. 1790ish and wife Rebecca b. abt. 1791 who had a son (My GGrandfather) John J. Robinson b. abt. 1840 d. 17 Jan. 1884 and who married a Julia Ann Thompson 15 March 1863 in Jefferson Co., PA. I believe John J. (b. abt. 1840) may have been born in Westmoreland County but another individual suggested that I may find info on this family in the History of Indiana County? If anyone has access to this book could you please do a look-up and see if there is any reference to a Robinson family? Any assistance will certainly be appreciated. Thanks.

On a personal level, I must admit, I have become utterly fascinated. I would greatly appreciating receiving whatever you wish to offer regarding Julia, her children, and the men who fathered them. If and when I am able to find just where this particular Indiana County Gilhousen family fits into our family tree, I will be happy to provide you with the details of the Gilhousen ancestry of this family... I havent had my coffee yet but Im trying to figure this out. Im related to the child Harry by blood on his paternal side and now through marriage on his maternal side? But not a marriage to his biological father. What does your genealogy software say about this....are we our own cousins yet? On a personal note. I am done with the 13 years of summer baseball and hope to connect with you at the next Isenberg reunion. Michelle

    1. Re: [INDIANA] Re:Julia's sister Nettie Gilhuyser 1872-1945
    2. I have read with interest the posts on Julia Gilhuyser (Gilhousen). My research also unearthed Julia's first two children, Harry and Arthur. Harry was probably the child of Harry Isenberg, but it is doubtful that he and Julia ever married. In some census data Harry is listed with the surname Benson, the married name of Julia's sister, which is the name he used as an adult. Arthur was the child of Julia and David Schrecenghost. Arthur died unmarried in WWI and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery. I do not know if Julia and David ever married, but it does not appear to be so. Julia went on to have a third child, Jesse Spangler. I have not been able to determine the father's first name. Jesse lived with Harry and Harry's family in Pittsburgh in later years. I do not know if he ever married. Around 1910 Julia married Lewis Blair (known as Blair) Kelly. This was the second marriage for Blair, whose first wife, Mabel Keck, died after bearing three children. I do not know what became of these children. Blair and Julia went on to have more children. Blair died in 1946. Julia died in 1949. Blair was living alone at the time of his death. I have more details on the above information, if anyone is interested. Kathy

Amanda married Louis Hurst Jacobs and they had these children: Margaret, Mary and Marian Jacobs. This was Thomas' 2nd marriage. His first wife was Margaret Keltz (b. 28 Sep 1832 in Ligonier Twp, Westmoreland County, PA, d. 11 Nov 1878 in East Wheatfield Twp, Indiana County, PA). She was the daughter of George and Mary (Shadron) Keltz. I believe Margaret Hart was previously married also. From info that I have found I believe my Margaret Hart was a sister to Mella, Maria and Alexander N. Hart. This Alexander Hart is the one you mention in your Roostweb Message posting. He was with Co. H, 12 th Pennsylvania Reserves (41 st Regiment) in the Civil War. I have some CW records on him. I am interested in this because my Great great grandfather's brother John P. Griffith was with Co. H, 12 PA Reserves too. John was killed at the Battle of Fredericksburg. I have his military record. They both were mustered in at the same time. Another relative was with Co. H, 12th Reserve. His name was John C. Lardin who married Priscilla Griffith. Priscilla was a sister of John P. Griffith and my gr-gr- grandfather Thomas Griffith. I was wondering what info you had and if you were willing to share information with me. I am hoping that your A. N. Hart and my Alexander N. Hart are the same person. Let me know. I look forward to hearing from you.
