    1. Andrew Wolf wife Elizabeth
    2. E Schenk
    3. Any one researching the Wolf family? I just found what I think could be a daughter of Isaiah and Elizabeth Conner Bartlebaugh. If so, this is the first girl child we have been able to find married in the first family of Isaiah Bartlebaugh. Elizabeth and Andrew Wolf's children are name on the 1880 census as Florann 13, Priscilla 9, William 7 and Robert 3. Up to now we only knew that a EE Bartlebaugh married A. Wolf. The age on the 1880 census gives age of Elizabeth as 30 years old and Elizabeth daughter of Isaiah was born Oct. 1849. Elaine

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UaB.2ACE/3227.2 Message Board Post: I have a photograph printed on the back with: Tiffany Photographer South 7th St. Indiana, PA It has a handwritten date 5/24/97 (this would be 1897). This is a bit of a puzzle as the picture has written on it: William A. Helman . William died at 17. He was born in 1858 and died in 1875. The photo also says on the back: "Negatives Preserved" and "Dealer in Frames and Mouldings" Perhaps someone had another picture made from a negative. I also have a photo stating on the back " B. B. Tiffany Photographer and dealer in All kinds of Pictures and Frames, So. Vine Street, Indiana, PA" This picture has no date and no name -- it might be Williams's mother, but that is just a guess. I'd like to know when B.B. Tiffany was in business - It might help determine the identity of the woman on the picture.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: McCracken Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UaB.2ACE/3231 Message Board Post: Nov. 23, 1910 issue of the INDIANA COUNTY GAZETTE, Indiana, PA. : Alex. McCracken, of near Decker's Point, met a horrible death Saturday evening at Creekside, where he had been visiting his brother, J.J. McCracken. Mr. McCracken had come from his home to Creekside, and after visiting his brother there for some time he came to Indiana. He left Indiana on the 7 o'clock Creekside car. Nothing is known of the accident which caused Mr. McCracken's death. About 9 o'clock in the evening the crew of the shifter in the yards at Creekside were cleaning their engine on the dump there, when they discovered blood on the running gear of the engine, and part of a trouser leg. A hasty examination of the track followed and it was discovered that a man had been killed. A watch, pocket-book and other effects were found scattered along the track. Undertaker McCracken, of Creekside was called and while he was preparing the body for burial he identified it from the papers and other effects as that of his brother. The body was so badly mangled that Mr. McMcracken would have been unable to identify it as his brother had it not been for the fact that he recognized the jewelry worn by his brother. Mr. McMcracken was aged about 56 years and was one of a family of 11 children, some of whom are residents of this county. The body was taken to Mr. McMcracken's home near Decker's Point for interment. Coroner James S. Hammers held an inquest on Sunday but the finding of his inquest has not been filed.

    2. Hi Leona; Sorry about the delay in responding to you. I'm preparing to go to PA for research this Friday where I'll be staying with my sister in Latrobe and visiting relatives all over the area as well. None of those names sound familiar but I'll keep them on file in case I run into any. Keep in touch; I will have access to a computer at my sister's house. Also traveling to Dayton where my mother lives for a while and I won't be home until August 1. I can receive mail at my son's home or my mother's through this same address. Thanks again, Jan Thomas

    3. Hello, Actually everyone now should have access to the History of Indiana County by J A Caldwell at Treasures of the Past http://www.pa-roots.com/~treasures on the Indiana County PA page there is a link. If my memory is still good there is a reference to the Robinson family in the book as they lived in an area that was on the border of three counties, Indiana, Westmoreland and Armstrong but were actually in Indiana County looking at the other two down in Conemaugh Township. There is also a cemetery with no markers in the area they lived which was partially named for them, this is also mentioned in the history. Hope this helps you.
