I have a John Waltermire born 1824 or 1825 and died 1915 in Hancock Co. Ohio. He married a Sarah A. (I think her maiden name was Sellers). John and Sarah has a son Wiliam Sherman Waltermire. John had a mother, named Polly, but I do not know her maided name. Polly was born in 1805 (from her tombstone) and died in 1885. This info is from my grandmother and confirmed in the 1880 census. Is it possible that Polly was married to the son of John and Elizabeth? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. First I would like to apologize for not having changed the subject line in my previous posting on the RODKEYs. My email program does not display the subject line and I did not think to edit it. Secondly, RODKEY researchers who are interested and in the area should be able to find a copy of the RODKEY Memoribilia I donated to the ICHGS some years ago. Written by the late Grace RODKEY Barnard and her nephew. In it she traces the family from it's origin in the Palatinate to various states in the US. She includes land patents, maps, and some photos. A very interesting read from a very intelligent woman who had a life that was interesting as well. I also have tape recording she sent me of her own memories of her family. She was a lovely woman. Cordially, Jean Masco

I'm trying to get land records from estmoreland and think I have to check the Virginia land records. I'm looking or a John Kerr. The John Kerr I already have documented is a John Kerr Jun. as isted in Westmoreland land records in 1789. I know they had the land in 1783 hen they got it back from John Hopkin. They were probably there in the late 760's or early 1770's. Ray Important Note: he author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
