The following was written about 1920 by my grandfather, a nephew to Isabella who was born 1816. "Isabella Bergstresser married James N. Thompson, who died in 1840, leaving a posthumus son, Theodore J. Thompson..." I assume Theodore's middle name was James, after his father. Theodore J. Thompson and family were in the 1880 census, his age given as 39, in McConnellsburg, Fulton Co., PA. He. had children and grandchildren but I do not know the line, nor any background on James N.. Would you please post any other names that may have been on Isabella's Letter of Administration, and any other details from it? Was there anything in the Orphans Court? Wasn't it standard that minor children had a guardian appointed if their father died, even if the mother was alive?
