The best way hbc> to find out is to go to www.familysearch.org and put in only the surname - looking through the hbc> results will give you a pretty good indication. Linda "The Scotch-Irish in Colonial Pennsylvania" (if I'm remembering the title correctly) is a fascinating book tracing the migration of the Scotch-Irish. It begins telling how they came from Scotland moving to the Ulster area of Ireland, not really mingling with the native Irish, and then moved on to colonial America. Most of the early migrants across southern Pennsylvania were the Scotch-Irish so I would imagine a lot of us have those roots. Then later the Germans followed. -- Patti Descended from the Lee family in Huntingdon County mailto:historymom@att.net
