We went into the 'DUNGEON" and got out all the old warrants and xeroxed them. But most of them dated from the 1790s, after Huntingdon had been taken off as separate county. I would suggest that you write to the State Archives. They have microfilms of all of the warrants. Or you could have someone check the PA Archives series 3, vol ? which gives you the warrants for each county. If you don't find anyone to do that, I will be glad to check when I'm in our Pioneer library - but it dpends when I have time, as sometimes I don't even have time to eat. It should be less crowded now that school has begun. Give me the name and location and I assume it's Huntingdon Co but will check Bedford also. I have a great-uncle, Jules Renard, who had a piece of land in Bedford County.....the map I looked at seemed to have it on top of a large hill, possibly a small mountain. Any information would be deeply appreciated. > > -----Original Message----- > From: Kathy Wells [mailto:rebeltrumpet@sbcglobal.net] > Sent: Friday, April 11, 2003 9:35 PM > To: PAHUNTIN-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [PAHUNTIN] Joshua Brown, Charlotte Morris, Maddensville, > > > To all who are hunting Joshua Brown & Charlotte Morris: > > I receive my copy of the original land warrant from Bedford County Oct 31, > 1785.
