    3. Here are obits for 1/23/03 and 1/25/03. 1/23 Dolly Ilene NOKES, 77, of 11200 Coastal Hwy., No. 402, Ocean City, Md., died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at Levindale Geriatric Hospital, Baltimore. Md. Born Feb. 2, 1925, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mildred (Snare) Harris. She was married to Lee Edmund Nokes who preceded her in death. One daughter and one son survive: Holly I. Schick, Columbus, Ohio; and Joe F. Nokes, Abingdon, MD. There is one granddaughter She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A registered nurse, she retired as a nursing supervisor in Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services will he held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Robert F. Peters Funeral Home, 1106 Mifflin St., Huintingdon. with the Rev. David L. Dearing officiating. 1/24 Melvin A. ADOLPHSON, 47, of R.R. 1, Box 237B, Saxton, died at 1:30 am. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at Hill View Nursing Home, Altoona. His death was the result of an auto accident in December 2002. Born Feb. 26, 1955, in Barberton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Robert and Ruby E. (Brewer) Adolphson. He never married. One sister and two brothers survive; Joyce Elaine Lafferty, Akron, Ohio; and Robert Adolphson. and Glenn Adolphson, both of Saxton, R.R 1. Mr. Adolphson was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed listening to music. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at Dudley Protestant Cemetery, Dudley, with Pastor Charles Davis officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the D. Ronald Long Funeral Chapel, Saxton. Rosale WILSON, 69, of Mount Union. R.R. 2, died Wednesday morning. Jan. 22, 2003, at her home. Her death was unexpected. Born March 2, 1933, in Danville, Va., she was a daughter or the late David and Louise (Hines) Martin. She was united in marriage to Harris Wilson April 13, 1951, in Hagerstown. Md. Mr. Wilson preceded her in death June 6, 1989. She is survived by four children; Cynthia Wilson, Oakland, Calif.; Rose Marie Houck and Harris Wilson III, both of Harrisburg; and Woodrow "Woody" Wilson, Mount Union, R.R. 2. There are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two sisters survive; Dorothy Winfree of Maryland and Mary Miller of State College. She was preceded in death by two children, Larry Wilson and Linda Elsie Wilson; and a brother. Clarence Martin. Mrs., Wilson was a member of Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Mount Union. where she was a past secretary and member of the Deaconess board, sang in the senior choir, was a member of the Sunday School class and was involved in various other church-related activities. She attended the Mount Union area schools. She retired from the former U.S. Sports Company, Huntingdon. For many years. she had worked at the Mount Union Head Start Program, first as a full time employee, later as a volunteer and then as a part-time worker. She enjoyed gardening and writing poetry. Funeral services will be held at 10 am. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at the Mount Hope Missionary Church, Mount Union. with the Rev. I. S. Owens officiating. Interment will be made in Mount Union Cemetery. Joan C. PRICE, 72, of 48 Holland St., Hartwell, Ga., formerly of Mount Union, died at approximately 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at the Anderson Medical Center, Anderson, S.C. Born Oct. 19, 1930, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late J. Clair and Mary M. (Gabert) Rosenborough. She was united in marriage to John L. Price, who survives in Hartwell. Three children survive; Jana Price, Julie Price and Jeff Price, all of Hartwell. There are four grandchildren. One brother. Jerry G. Rosenborough, Glen Burnie, Md., survives. Mrs. Price attended the Hartwell Alliance Church, Hartwell. A graduate of Mount Union High School, Class of 1947, she was a homemaker. The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, with the Rev. Jim Hullihen officiating. Interment will be made in the Mount Union Cemetery. 1/25 Lauretta M. BLACK, 72, of Paxton Run Road, Newburg, died at 6:40 am. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at her home in Lurgan Township, Franklin County. Born May 16, 1930, in Wells Tannery, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Beulah (Curfman) Newman. She was first married to Scott Miller who preceded her in death. She then married Charles Black who survives at their home. She is also survived by the following stepchildren; Clair E. Stoops, Newburg; Robert C. Black, Shippensburg; John M. Black, Newburg; Donald R. Black, Orrstown; James N. Black and Doris L. Diehl, both of Newburg; Charles H. Black, Chambersburg; Denver L. Black, Newburg; and James Miller, Saltillo. There are 20 step grandchildren and 16 step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Delilah Ebersole of Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, one stepson and four brothers; Moody Newman, Marshall Newman, Max Newman and John Newman. Mrs. Black attended the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Newburg. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Newburg, with Pastor Bonnie Ort and the Rev. Charles Rhodes officiating. Interment will be made at Ridge Cemetery, Ridge Road, Shippensburg. Viola Carolyn (Lewis) DAMITZ, 95, a resident at Woodland Retirement Center, Orbisonia, formerly of DeForrest Apartments and Warm Springs Avenue, Huntingdon, died at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at the retirement center. Born in West Orange, N.J.. March 22, 1907, she was the daughter of David J. Lewis and Carolyn Ethel (Parker) Lewis, both deceased. She was united in marriage to William Charles Damitz, from whom she was separated. Mrs. Damitz is survived an adoptive son, William Lewis Damitz. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edwyn M. Lewis. Mrs. Damitz was of the Baptist faith. She attended public schools in West Orange and was primarily a homemaker. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, N.J. Arrangements are under the director of the John B.
