From Steve Kemp, Huntingdon. This afternoon four volunteers/ staff (and me) at HCHS library considered this Wakefield Chapel question. There are several cemetery listings/ compilations there including an ongoing project to name and locate "all" the cemeteries and nothing on this particular name. One of the people who talked this over is the daughter of a man who was pastor at Germany Valley Church of the Brethren. She is pretty sure she recalls her father mention Wakefield Chapel as a local vicinity name (not as an active church). She says there is a small cemetery "on a hill" not far from the church her father pastored (that church property is the location of a well-known cemetery where most Germany Valley folk, including Wakefields, are interred); maybe this is what your're looking for. That is definitely Shirley Township. By the way- Mrs. Wheland's cemetery material lists Wakefield Cemetery as an alternate name for Brady Township's Detweiler Cemetery. Her transcription of that farm cemetery has only two Wakefields listed: Elizabeth, died 1856; and Eli, died 1867. No Bards there at all. Steve Kemp
