    3. Here are obits for 1/27/03: Mary Esther COY, 89, 6525 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, Del., died at 2 am. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at Ingleside Care Center, Hockessin. Born March 8, 1913. in Miller Township, she was a daughter of the late George Smith and Margaret Ellen (Harris) Jackson. She was united in marriage to John C. Coy, who preceded her in death Dec. 22, 1998. She is survived by one son, Ronald A. Coy, Newark, Del. There are nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One brother, Don Jackson of Huntingdon, survives. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dale and Dennis; five sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Coy was a member of Shadyside Free Methodist Church, Huntingdon. She was employed by Webb’s Dry Cleaners, Wilmington, Del., for 25 years. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, 1106 Mifflin St., Huntingdon, with the Rev. Joan Houck officiating. Interment will be made in Donation Cemetery, Huntingdon, R.R. 2. Carl W. McCOY, 87, of HCR 73, Three Springs, died at 9:50 am. Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at Malta Home, Granville. Born Nov. 11, 1915, in Springfield Township, he was a son of the late Alonzo and Nimbi (Grissinger) McCoy. He was married to the former Louise Manola Brown Aug. 25, 1942. Mrs. McCoy preceded him in death Dec. 15, 1998. Three sons and one daughter survive; George W. McCoy, Maddensville; Robert E. McCoy, Three Springs, R.R.; Harold D. McCoy, Maddensville, R.R.; and Audrey Varner, HCR 71, Orbisonia. There are six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also surviving. One brother, Raymond McCoy, and one grandson, Tim McCoy, preceded him in death. Mr. McCoy was of the Protestant faith. He retired from L.S. Lee Construction Company, Harrisburg. Prior to that, he had been a coal miner for 20 years. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with Pastor Sam Stoey officiating. Interment will be made in the Old Methodist Cemetery, HCR 71, Orbisonia. Bertha O. MORGAN, 95, of 1223 Liberty St., Saxton, died at 5 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at her home following a lengthy illness. Born May 28, 1907. in Yellow Creek. she was a daughter of the late John and Susannah (Spahn) Troutman. She was united in marriage to Lloyd M. Morgan Sept. 5, 1936, in Cumberland. Md. Mr. Morgan preceded her in death Sept. 6, 1953. She is survived by one son, Gaylord Morgan of Saxton. There are three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters; Edgar Troutman, Pearl Hood, Alma Fouse, Lloyd Troutman, Charles Troutman, Luther Troutman, Fred Troutman. James Troutman, Hazel Ott and Emery Troutman. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Saxton. She was a member of the Broad Top Area Senior Citizens and had previously been a member of that organization's board of directors. She served on the boards of Salvation Army, Saxton; Bedford County MH-MR Bedford-Fulton-Huntingdon Area Agency on Aging, where she served on the founding board and advisory council. Mrs. Morgan received the Pennsylvania Governors silver and gold awards for advocacy. She testified before various hearings and panels of joint house and senate committees for aging services. Instrumental in establishing and developing the CART program, she also participated in regional sessions on developing the state plan for the Agency on Aging. She was a former member of Rebekah Lodge, Saxton; and a member of Saxton Chapter No. 161 Order of Eastern Star. She retired from Monroeville-Gateway School District in 1972 after 10 years employment. A craftsperson, she enjoyed crocheting and quilt making along with other crafts. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the D. Ronald Long Funeral Chapel, Saxton, with Pastors Charles Davis and Sarah Q. Malone officiating. Interment will he made in Grandview Cemetery, Saxton, R.R. Dorothy M. FITZGERALD, 96, formerly of Huntingdon, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, in Bath Township, Ohio. She was married to Victor H. Fitzgerald, who preceded her in death in 1934. One daughter, Helen Snyder of Bath Township, Ohio, with whom she had resided for the last three years. survives. She is also survived by grandchildren, Timothy Fitzgerald, New Cumberland; Barbara Dixon, Huntingdon; Karen Wilkenson, Kalamazoo, Mich.; and Patrick Dewey of Virginia. There are three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Victor; and two daughters. Eileen and Louise. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a member of Grace Methodist Church of Harrisburg and Fifteenth Street United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. She worked for 31 years as a supervisor at the Naval Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, with the Rev.
