It is sad to hear what happened recently to the cemetery. My brother has sent me a e-mail showing the original mailing. I know alot of you can relate to the issue through all of our travels in researching families that some cemeteries no longer are upkept or cared enough about for someone to respect those of our ancestors. My research has taken me to Huntingdon county on many instances and so forth. And for the reasons above mentioned I have a heartfelt sadness in why anyone would do such a thing. Anyways I'll cut through the long wind. Through my own employment for the past 15 years my experience in natural stone has put me in a status as a Marble Mason and my work experience is in Custom work for all stone. I am willing to devote time to repair those pieces of markers out of total respect for our history and so forth. And this said I challenge anyone to unite with me to offer this as a good gesture , respect and to do good for our communities. For those who can contact me to be able to arrange with me contacts with the borough and that to be able to go in and start repairs. Please contact me ASAP to let me know. Sincerely and respectfully, Kenneth Murtiff ==== PAHUNTIN Mailing List ==== Visit the Huntingdon county PaGenWeb site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~pahuntin for information on county resources, cemeteries and other research information. ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
