I want to thank Ken Murtiff for his generous offer to help in the repair of the damaged stones in Riverview. The mayor is elated at the offer. He voiced his heartfelt thanks for to Mr. Murtiff. At the mayor's request, I am taking the proposal to borough council on Tuesday evening and also presenting to them information of the means I have taken in an attempt to procure funds for the repairs. I am hopeful that there will be many more respond both from our mailing list as well as others who have concerns about seeing the stones repaired. In speaking to the mayor this afternoon, he clarified how checks are to be sent in order to be eligible as a tax deduction for contributors. Checks should be made payable to "Huntingdon Borough" and on the memo line you'll need to put "Riverview Cemetery Repair Project."
