    3. Are there tombstone inscriptions available for West Twp? I am trying to locate death information for my gr-gr-grandmother's siblings Thomas Armstrong born in 1817 and Rachel Armstrong Willson born in 1814. Thanks ! Gayle in Kansas

    3. Gayle, I checked Mooresville cemetery, which is in West twp. and neither Thomas nor Rachel are there. I also checked "Lost and Forgotten Cemeteries of Huntingdon county" and they are not listed there. Checked Manor Hill cemetery (Barree twp.) and they aren't there. The following might be of help: George Wilson Came after the Revolution, also an Irishman and located on the James Walls place, dying there. His son Robert moved to Centre County, David moved to Clearfield County, James died in the township without issue, George (the youngest) died in Logan on the old Armstrong place in 1873. He was married to Jane Reed, and was the father of George W. Wilson, occupying the homestead. A daughter married W.L. Armstrong. The daughters of George Wilson Sr. were married to members if the Stewart, Porter and McClellan families. That is from Pioneers of Logan Township at http://www.rootsweb.com/~pahuntin/townships/logan/pioneers.htm Also, check out http://www.rootsweb.com/~pahuntin/townships/barree/hist-barree.htm and http://www.rootsweb.com/~pahuntin/1793barree.html That should help you out.
