(from Steve Kemp) A lot of historical libraries have the 1798 "window" tax on microfilm. I've never seen the films myself... surely someone on the list has... and unless there's some other reason for going to GSP for a lookup, probably you can get the same thing via interlibrary loan or one of the LDS centers... and see it for yourself
