Hi, does anyone of you have a link into the family of John Edward Diehl? I would be especially interested in his wife Mary E. Schirm. Here is the obit from 4/1/1954 (thanks to Annie): ------------------------- John Edward Diehl Of 2200 Adams avenue, Tyrone, died at 10:45 o'clock last night at Mercy hospital following an illness of four days. Mr. Diehl was born March 22, 1891, in Tyrone, a son of Joseph and Annie (Schell) Diehl. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary E. Schirm; two daughters and three sons, Miss Kathryn J. and Miss Larue, at home; Robert A. of Tyrone, Pic. Thomas R. in Korea and Sgt. David at Fort Bragg, N.C., and two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Nearhoof of Erie and Miss Alma of Altoona. Employed at the Westvaco mill at Tryone, Mr. Diehl was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic church and Tyrone Moose lodge. ------------------------- >From the phone directory it looks like, that there are still Diehl's living at that place. Any help would be highly appreciated. Mary (Schirm) Diehl could be the daughter of David Schirm and Regina Zeilinger, born in May 1889.
