Be Careful what you put on RootsWeb - "Free 15 page website plus Free Startup WITH a $49 processing package." I could not access "Heritage quest Online" using the password "Welcome" ----- Original Message ----- From: Jean Wall To: PAHUNTIN-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Sunday, November 09, 2003 1:32 PM Subject: [PAHUNTIN] Research Help for Census or New York Times Just passing this on from another list...... a great resources to those of us who do not belong to Ancestry.Com or any other paid research sites..... Good Luck! Here is a valuable resource for some things in New Jersey (and New York City). "The New York Times" is online free until 15 Dec 2003, and then it will be gone. This isn't just the index, but EVERY PAGE, with most very readable! You might be able to find information, obituaries, etc. It has the complete New York Times, (including the classified) from 1851-2001! Clicking on "Heritage quest Online" will get you census and books to search. | It works like this: | First, go to -- http://riversideregionallibrary.org | Second, click on "ProQuest Historical New York Times" OR HeritageQuest Online | Third, use the guest password here, which is: welcome | Fourth, click on "ProQuest Historical New York Times" again. OR Census | Fifth, you are now on the search screen -- try it! ==== PAHUNTIN Mailing List ==== Visit the Huntingdon county PaGenWeb site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~pahuntin for information on county resources, cemeteries and other research information. ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
I have accessed this site for many many days using that temporary sign on. The password is case sensitive, I should not have typed it using a capitol "W" try just using the "welcome" in all lower case. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy Thompson" <redheadnt@msn.com> To: <PAHUNTIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, November 10, 2003 9:03 PM Subject: Re: [PAHUNTIN] Research Help for Census or New York Times > Be Careful what you put on RootsWeb - "Free 15 page website plus Free Startup WITH a $49 processing package."
