Bill, Hello, I wish I knew... I am stuck on Henry Barrick born 1835 in PA according to 1880 census. He had at least one son, John A. age 18 born PA on the 1880 census in Polk City, Polk, IA. I know he married in 1868 to Margaret Lawrence nee Fagan who was married to a ???? Lawrence and had at least 2 children prior to her marriage to Henry Barrick. Margaret died in 1880 and I have been able to locate him since or before. Margaret Fagan d/o John Fagan was from Barre, Huntington, PA. then moved to Ohio before coming to Iowa. Also in Polk City, Polk was John Barrick born 1825 (married to Jemima Grigby -Barrick/Coffman/Dickey-married 3 times, buried all of her husbands). John Barrick was born Illinois where he and Jemima Grigsby were married and his father was Henry Barrick born Ohio, Licking Co. I believe this Barrick goes back to the Barrick/Berg Book that everyone is talking about. I feel there is a connection but, none of us Barrick researchers from the Iowa/Oregon union of Margaret Fagan and Henry Barrick can find anything. After Margaret died young...the family was farmed out or married young. Some of them went to Oregon, others stayed in Iowa. I can not find anything on John A. Barrick born abt. 1862 or Breckenridge Lawrence born abt. 1862 or Denorbis Lawrence born abt. 1868. One bible list brothers...Norbis ....and father Harst....we have proven the Harst as incorrect through marriage records/deathrecords/and census. Wish I could help, I will put you email into my search file and watch for you in my search. I hope you will keep an eye open for mine too. Thank you, Jeannette
