She was united in marriage to Joseph Skvarka April 18, 1938, at Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley, by the Rev. Thomas Houghton. Mr. Skvarka preceded her in.death. She is survived by four daughters and two sons; Helen Foreman, Chambersburg; Marilyn Weist, Breezewood; Carolyn Matthews, Wood; Theresa Minnick, Dudley; Joe Skvarka, Chambersburg; and Richard Skvarka, Carlisle. There are 12 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Lea Herrald of Sunbury; and two brothers, William Thomas of Pogue and Harold Thomas of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Mort. Feb. 28, 2002; two sisters, Louise and Virginia, and a brother, Robert. Mrs. Skvarka was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley, where she was a member of the Altar Society. She was a member of the RW&BT Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, country music concerts, reading. being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Thomas Stanley GILPIN, 47, of 118 Main St., Alexandria, died at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at JC Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. He had been in declining health for the past year. Born June 6, 1955, in Los Angeles, Calif., he was a son of Clifford John Jr. and Mary Elizabeth (Coggins) Willett. His father survives in Alexandria. His mother preceded him in death Aug. 22, 1999. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters; Ernest Harold Hughes, Howell, Mich.; Mrs. Don (Teresa Ann) Reynolds, Jackson, Tenn.; Mrs. Michael (Cora Lee) Bailey, Alexandria; Clifford John Willett III, Huntingdon; Don Anthony Willett, Gladwin, Mich.: and Mrs. Paul (Judy Lynn) Belvill, Aurora, Colo. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews. Mr. Gilpin was of the Protestant faith. He attended Fairland High School, Fairland, Okla. HORNER, 79, of Philipsburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at the home of her daughter, Judy Dean of Philipsburg. Born Aug. 12, 1923, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of the late Carlton and Flora (Lohr) Foster. She was united in marriage to Robert W. Horner Aug. 20, 1941. Mr. Horner preceded her in death April 17, 1994. She is survived by three daughters and one son; Bonita E. "Bunny" Burke of Lemont; Judy L. Dean of Philipsburg; Shawn Marie Cox of Mill Hall and Robert W. "Bobby" Horner Jr. of State College. There are ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Two sisters survive; Connie Brown of Annsiville, Va., and Lois Busko of Chambersburg. Mrs. Horner was a former member of Mount Nittany United Methodist Church, Lemont. She was a homemaker. Eva B. DONALDSON, 82, of 10250 Raystown Road, Saxton, died at 11:06 am, Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at Bon Secours-Holy Family UPMC Regional Health Center, Altoona, following a brief illness. Born Oct. 28, 1920, in Dudley, she was a daughter of the late Charles Newton and Annie Emma (Williams) Black. She was united in marriage Dec. 1, 1941, to Clay E. Donaldson, in Cumherland, Md. Mr. Donaldson preceded her in death May 2,1983. One daughter and one son survive; Mrs. Richard (Betty Kay) Fluke and Clay E. Donaldson Jr., both of Saxton. There are three grandchildren. One sister, Ora Baker, survives at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister Mrs. Donaldson was an active member of The First Church of God, Saxton, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, elder and church treasurer for many years. She was president of the Broad Top Area Senior Citizens, Saxton, for a number of years. Active in organizing the Saxton-Liberty Alumni Association, she served as treasurer of the group since its beginning. She was a past matron of Chapter 161, Order of Eastern Star, Saxton. An accomplished seamstress, she was formerly employed as a floor supervisor at the former Scampers Mfg., Saxton. She had also been employed by the former Claudia Footwear, Wood, and US Sports. CORNELIUS, 85, of Pennknoll Village, Bedford, formerly of Saxton, died at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at Pennknoll Village following an extended illness. Born May 28, 1917, in Dudley, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Stella (Swope), Wise. She was united in marriage to Willard "Woody" K, Cornelius Feb. 21, 1936, in Cumberland, Md. Mr. Cornelius preceded her in death in 1983. She is survived by six children; Mrs. Dick (Shirley) Hess, Bedford; Mrs. Frank (Pat) Houck, Orlando, Fla.: Mrs. Clair (Judy) Johns, Huntingdon; Willard "Butch" Cornelius Jr., Harrisburg; Linda Hamm, Phoenixville; and William Cornelius, Saxton. There are 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Cornelius was a member of the Saxton United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Broad Top Senior Citizens, Saxton. and the Saxton-Liberty Alumni Association. HUNSINGER Jr. 76, of HCR 61, Box 78, Blairs Mills, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at his residence. Born July 10, 1926, in Berwick, he was a son of the late Ralph F. Sr. and Velrna (Keller) Hunsinger. He was married to the former Anna L. Burdge who preceded him in death Aug. 21, 2000. He is survived by one daughter and two sons: Nancy L. Shellenberger, Marysville; Dennis A. Hunsinger, Shade Gap; and Darryl A. Hunsinger, Orbisonia. There are seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One brother, Donald Hunsinger, survives in Berwick. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard, and an infant brother who died at birth. Mr. Hunsinger attended Upper Tuscarora Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Society for Advancement of the Deaf, York (PA) Association of the Deaf and Keystone Society of the Deaf He was inducted into the Pennsylvania Socieiy of Deaf Sports Hall of Fame May 21, 1994. for being an outstanding athlete who excelled in football, basketball and track from 1942-1947. He was a 1947 graduate of the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, Philadelphia. After 23 1/2 years of employment at Letterkenny Army Depot. Chambersburg, he retired in May 1987. Interment was made in Shade Valley Cemetery, Richvale. 2/22 Beverly (Long) EBERTS, 77, of Steelton, formerly of Wood, died at approximately 12 am. Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, in Harrisburg. Born Dec. 15, 1925, in Wood. she was a daughter of the late Clinton and Alice (Nead) Long. She was married to Eugene Eberts who preceded her in death. Five children survive; Bruce Eberts of Texas, and Randy Eberts, Tim Eberts, Alice Burgess and Tina Eberts, all of the Harrisburg area. She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers; Rachel Davidson of Saltillo; Clema Ott of Harrisburg; Clara Jane Riegel of Mechanicsburg; Kenneth Long of Hot Springs, Ark.; and Mervin Long of Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two children, Paula and Gene, and four brothers; James Long, Warren Long, Harold Long and Lester Long. Mrs. Eberts was a 1944 graduate of Robertsdale High School. "Skip" CHANEY, 81, of 1201 Church St., Saxton, died Feb. 21, 2003, at Burdette Tomline Hospital, Cape May Courthouse, N.J.. following a brief illness. Born June 28, 1921, in Kearney, he was a son of the late Dewey and Charlotte (Sheeders) Chaney. He was united in marriage to the former Genevieve Carberry, Aug. 13, 1950. Mrs. Chaney survives. He is also survived by two daughters; Patty Fellowes, Cape May Beach, N.J.; and Michelle Chaney of Saxton. There is one grandchild. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by one brother. Mr. Chaney was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Dudley. He was a member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disable American Veterans. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. A pipe coverer, he retired from the former Asbestos Service, Youngstown, Ohio, following 20 years service. Dorothy W. WATERMAN, 82, of R.R. 3, Box 191A, Huntingdon, died at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at her home. Born May 5, 1920, in Munhall, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mathilda (Miller) Wagner. She was united in marriage to Russell Edwin Waterman, Sept. 12, 1945, in Bethel Park, by the Rev. Murray Reiter. Mr. Watetman preceded her in death Sept. 7, 1991. She is survived by three daughters; Jeanne W. Smith, Plaistow, N.H.; Claire W. Barnes, Sykesville, Md.; and Elaine W. White, Westminster, Md. There are six grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Morrison, and a brother, William Wagner Mrs. Waterman was a member of Twelfth Street United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. She was formerly a member of Standing Stone Art League, Huntingdon County Arts Council and Huntingdon County Literacy Council. Primarily a homemaker, she enjoyed painting in pastels and watercolors in her studio at home, as well as at other venues. She enjoyed painting portraits of her family and their pets and had won awards for her work at Standing Stone Art League and Huntingdon County Arts Council-sponsored exhibits. Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Huntingdon Manor, Warm Springs Avenue, Huntingdon, where she had resided since May 2002. Born June 13, 1915, in West Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late J. Harry and Esther (Bell) Stewart. She was united in marriage to Wesley A. Porter Nov. 24, 1937, at the bride’s home in West Township, by the Rev. Joseph G. Rigby. Mr. Porter survives at their home. One son, Vernon H. Porter, Petersburg, R.R. 1, survives. There are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Ruth Spicher of Belleville. Mrs. Porter was a member of Mooresville United Methodist Church where she was very active, serving as Sunday School teacher and church treasurer. Jack Reed TROY, 63, of Delmont, formerly of Murrysville, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Born Aug. 30, 1939, in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Orvin W. and Sarah Belva (Reed) Troy. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Ann (Stinson) Troy. Four children survive; Mrs. Dave (Dana) Bennett, Mount Dora. Fla.; Steve Troy, Pembroke Pines, Fla.; Ruben Troy, North Huntingdon; and Debbie Slone, Export. There are 11 grandchildren. Blair Memorial Hospital. His death was unexpected. Born May 3. 1931. in Alexandria. he was the son of the late Lewis and Esther (McCrum) Borst. He married Janet L. Robinson June 18, 1949, in Cumberland, Md. Mrs. Borst survives at the couples home. Mr. Borst is survived by three sons: James E. Borst, Sheffield; Steven E. Borst, Petersburg; and David E. Borst, Alexandria, and seven grandchildren. One brother, Harry L. Borst of Huntingdon, survives. Mr. Borst was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Petersburg, and a former member of the Church Council. He was a member of the Mount Moriah Lodge No. 300 F&AM, Huntingdon; Valley of Altoona, AASR; and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 976, Huntingdon Mr. Borst attended Alexandria public schools with the Class of 1948. In addition to being a self-employed brick mason since age 15, he was a school bus contractor for the Juniata Valley School District for over 40 years, a truck driver for the former Strickler’s Dairy and plant manager for the Petersburg Water Authority for over 30 years. He enjoyed his work and was an avid sports fan. He excelled at baseball, playing for the Petersburg, Shaver’s Creek and Belleville teams in the adult league. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born Feb. 21, 1929, in Johnstown, he was a son of the late John A. and Freda (Linninger) Corle. He was united in marriage to the former Norma Green Dec. 26, 1956, in Winchester, Va. Mrs. Corle survives at their Smithfield Township residence. One daughter, Janice E. McClure, PhD., survives at Petersburg, R.R. There are three grandchildren. One brother, Harold A. Corle, Myrtle Beach, S.C., survives. Mr. Corle was an active member of Saint James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Huntingdon, having served as a member of council. He was a member and past president of the Huntingdon Lions Club and a former member and past president of the Lehigh Township Lions Club. He was a member of the Manoquesy Lodge No. 4132 F&AM, Bath. He attended the Johnstown public schools and graduated from Johnstown High School with the Class of 1948. He obtained a bachelor of arts degree from Iuniata College in 1956 and a master of education degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1959. He matriculated to Lehigh University, the University of Northern Arizona and Tufts University. During the Korean Conflict. from 1948-1952, he served with the U.S. Army as a physical education instructor of officer candidates, attaining the rank of corporal with Headquarters Company in the American Theatre of Operations. An educator, he was a teacher in the Butler area schools from 1956-1962. He served as an assistant professor of elementary education at Mansfield State Teacher’s College from 1962-1963. He retired in 1986 from Northampton Area School District as the principal of the Leigh Township School. He enjoyed chair caning and antiques and was an avid college football fan. McConnellstown, Walker Township, died at 3:45 am.Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at The Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon. Born Sept. 17, 1925, in Mount Union, he was a son of the late Edgar and Justine (Dorman) Manning. He was united in marriage to the former Gretta M. "Pat" Day, Aug. 7, 1948, at Payne AME Church, Huntingdon, by the Rev. Cooper. Mrs. Manning survives at their home. He is survived by two daughters and one son; Alice Y. Lipscomb, Tacoma Park, Md.; Pamela J. Manning, Oxnard, Calif.; and Cmdr. Cameron A. Manning, Boothwyn. There are four grandchildren and one great-grandson. One brother, Benjamin Manning of Huntingdon, survives. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers; Barbara Tyson, Helen McNeal, Mallie Manning and Howard Manning. Mr. Manning was of the Protestant faith. He was a life member of Standing Stone Post 1754 VFW and a member of Frank P Hommon Post No. 24 American Legion, both of Huntingdon. A 1944 graduate of Huntingdon High School, he also graduated from Huntingdon Secretarial School in 1947. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army from August 1944-August 1946, and attained the rank of staff sergeant with Co. F., 2nd Battalion of the 372nd Infantry Regiment in the Pacific. He was employed by the federal government, as a Department of the Army civilian, for over three decades and retired from Headquarters, Depot System Command, based at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, in September 1980. During his career, he received extensive formal classroom training from various Army-affiliated schools, including the Ordnance Guided Missile School, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala.; The Army Management Engineering Training Agency, Rock Island, Ill.: and The Army Logistics Management Center, Fort Lee, Va. >From 1971-1973, he was assigned to a Logistics Assistance Office in Zweibruecken, Germany, where he provided guidance and technical assistance to U.S. Army units and depots, maintenance plants and activities throughout the Federal Republic of Germany. Ellen Stever DELBAGGIO, 44, of Spruce Creek, died on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at home, following an extended illness with cancer. Born on May 12, 1958, in Tyrone, she was a daughter of Dr. Richard W. Stever Jr. and Mary Ellen Rorabaugh Jones. She was twice married; first to Melvin "Dave" Reese. On April 13, 1989, in St. Augustine, Fla., she then married Benedict L. DelBaggio Jr., who survives at home. She was a 1976 graduate of Tyrone High School and a 1984 graduate of the Altoona School of Nursing with a diploma in nursing. She proudly served as a nurse at the Tyrone Hospital, the Altoona Hospital, the Lee Hospital, Johnstown, at the Community Nursing Service, and at the Centre Community Surgical Center, State College. Her favorite pastime was entertaining family and friends at her home. All who knew her gained from her acquaintance. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her sons, Aaron Matthew and his wife, Carrie Reese, of Tyrone, and Ian Chandler Reese, of State College; her stepchildren, Terrance James and his wife, Stephanie DelBaggio, of Tyrone, Benedict L. Born March 30, 1923, in Broad Top City, she was the daughter of the late William and Ellen (Noel) Wright. Mrs. Cutshall was twice married, to Ellis Stevens and Jan Cutshall. She was preceded in death by both husbands. She is survived by a son, Roger Stevens, Walker Township; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cutshall was a member of the 12th Street United Methodist Church, Huntingdon. She was a member and had been an active volunteer at the Standing Stone Senior Citizens Center. Brode Aug. 25, 1945, in the Saxton Church of God parsonage. Mr. Erode survives. There are 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. One sister, Ruth Brumbaugh of Saxton, survives. She was preceded in death by one grandson, five brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Brode was an active member of Oasis of Love Church in the Valley, Saxton, where she helped with Bible School for many years. In her early years, she was a member of Daughters of America Homemakers and the Farm Society. She was a Cub Scout den mother. She was a homemaker. Interment will be made in Grandview Cemetery, Saxton, R.R. Norman E. SIEMS Sr., 87, died Saturday evening, Feb. 22, 2003, at The Oaks, Westminster Woods, Huntingdon. Mr Siems moved to Westminster Woods from his home on the shore of Canandaigua Lake, N.Y. He was born in Rochester, N.Y., the son of Edward Q. and Alvaretta F. (Rowley) Siems, and lived in its environs for the next 23 years. Martha Jane (Morey) Siems (1916-1974) was a loving, supportive wife and mother. Dolores Anne (Laurelli) Siems (1927-1953) was his second loving wife. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Sally Lauretta and Dr Robert K. Lynch of Monroeville; son and daughter-in-law, Dr Norman E. Jr and Anne Siems, Huntingdon; and daughter, Stephanie Beth Latch, Somerville, N.J. There are seven grandchilddren; Sherri L. Edling, Dr. Laura J. Siems, Beth A. Campbell, Robert K. Lynch Jr., Dr Margaret A. Siems, Cynthia E. Latch and Louis R. Latch; and seven great-grandchildren. His only cousin, Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Batzing, Webster, N.Y., survives. Schooling began in a "oneroom District School" with the same teacher six days per week, i.e., academic and Sunday School. Moving off the farm to a village changed the structure of education to: the grades, junior high, senior high and on to the University of Rochester (BA in chemistry). His first full-time job was with Scarbell Chemical Co., followed by Armour & Co., as salesman. Three years later, he joined Philadelphia Quartz Co. and remained with them for the next 39 years until retirement. The company later changed its name to PQ Corporation and grew to be the largest manufacturer of soluble silicates and silicate derivatives in the world. Mr. Siems filled various posts, such as salesman; technical representative; director and vice president of sales; director of Mexican subsidiary and director and later, president of Canadian subsidiary, National Silicates Ltd., Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Prior to retirement, he served as corporate secretary. He was a dedicated Boy Scout supporter, serving in a number of positions over the years at the local and district levels. He performed dozens of Eagle Scout ceremonies and was awarded Scouting’s coveted Silver Beaver Award. Extensive travel in North America on business was augmented by travel up the Orincos River in Venezuela, and in Central America, Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Barbados and the Philippines. MARTIN, 86, of Valley View Home, Altoona, formerly of State College and Martinsburg, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Bon Secours-Holy Family UPMC Regional Health Center, Altoona. Born Dec. 14,1916, in Mapleton, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Amanda (Masemore) Grissinger. She was united in marriage to Melvin W. Martin July 12, 1936. at Robertsdale, R.R. Mr. Martin preceded her in death Feb. 21, 1992. She is survived by one daughter and two sons; Loretta M. Gambocurta, Pennsylvania Furnace; Donald P. Martin, Hollidaysburg; and Gary W. Martin, York. Born April 16, 1909, in Blairs Mills. she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Shields) Shearer. She was married to Edward L.. Neidigh who preceded her in death in 1982. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born Nov. 22, 1912, in Ryde, she was a daughter of the late Jay Underwood and Ivy Harshbarger. She was united in marriage to Samuel C. Harshbarger June 14, 1933, in Hagerstown, Md., by the Rev. J.M. Carter. Mr. Harshbarger preceded her in death Aug. 31, 2002. She is survived by one sister and four brothers; Mrs. Charles (Alice) Shirey, McClure; Paul Harshbrger, McVeytown; Lester Harshbarger, Millheim; Leonard Lee Harshbarger, Sweet Valley; and Harold Harshbarger, Kersey. Born Feb. 24, 1921, in Mill Creek, he was a son of the late Luther L. and Elsie Mae (Boozel) Geissinger. He is survived by his wife, the former Nancy L. Weagley, at home. One daughter, Susan K. Witmer, survives in Hagerstown. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister; Michael Geissinger, George Geissinger and Emma Beale. He was a member of AARP, the Civilian Conservation Corns and the Mapleton American Legion. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre. Charles "Sonny" SNYDER, 73, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Three Springs, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at his residence, following a prolonged illness. Born May 2, 1929, in Three Springs, he was the son of Charles and Larue (Roles) Snyder, formerly of Three Springs. He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 52 years. Four sons and one daughter survive; Chuck Snyder, Kenton Snyder and Jeff Snyder, all of Vero Beach; Michael Snyder, Youngstown, Ohio; and Tamra Louderback, Apache Junction, Ariz. There are nine grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters; Maxine Drennen, Janet Miller and Georgia Velly, all of Ohio; and Wanda Norris of Orbisonia. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity and of the York Rite. A 1947 graduate of Saltillo High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. Born Nov. 20, 1919, in Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Annie Mae (Maben) Wilson. She was twice married; first to Homer H. He was cofounder and past president of Railways To Yesterday, Orbisonia where he was honored by the hoard of directors and the Huntingdon County Tourist Promotion Agency for his work at the trolley museum. He contributed to a movie showing the Switchback Railroad at Mauch Chunk and produced several industrial films and scenic travelogues. James Stanley JONES, 73, of 115 Rue Bonaparte, Lafayette, La., died Tuesday. Feb. 25, 2003, at Lafayette General Medical Center, Lafayette. Born Feb. 15, 1930, in Huntingdon, he was the son of the late Harry A. and Rachall (Yochum) Jones. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Kalous Jones, of Lafayette; two daughters, Marsha Hall of Huntingdon and Bonnie Fetterman of Catawissa; and one sister. Peg Richards of Hollidaysburg. There are 12 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Air Force from March 1951 to April 1955. The owner of Easterling Optical Service, he had been in the optical business for 30 years. Charles L. "Charlie" CARBAUGH, 92, of 2911 Morning Hills Road, Huntingdon, formerly of Cherrytown, died at 10:45 am. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at his residence. Born May 21, 1910, in Cherrytown, he was the son of the late James C. and Mary (Dorman) Carbaugh. He was united in marriage to the former Edna R. Hoover Oct. 6, 1951. He is survived by his wife at home and a daughter, Mrs. Tom R. (Diane) Schumacher of Mechanicsburg. Mr. and Mrs. Carbaugh resided with their son, Michael C. Carbaugh and his wife, Gloria, in Huntingdon. Two granddaughters also survive. Two sisters, Mrs. C. Samuel (Lena) Clapper, Windber, and Mrs. Joseph (Carrie) Croyle, Imler, survive. Mr. Carbaugh was preceded in death by brothers Clyde G. Carbaugh, J. Blair Carbaugh and his infant brother, M. Franklin Carbaugh, and by two sisters, Ada Shontz and Dorothy Baker. Mr. Carbaugh was Christian and a life member of the Russellville United Church of Christ where, over the years, he served as superintendent, deacon, elder, choir member and Sunday School teacher. For many years he served as church treasurer. He served as secretary for the Russellville Cemetery Association for many years. Mr. Carbaugh was a high school graduate and World War II veteran, having served with the United States Army for four years in the Philipines. He retired in 1976 from the U.S. Postal Service following 30 years service. He had been the postmaster at the Aitch post office and had been a rural letter carrier He enjoyed gardening, singing, spending time with his family and reading and studying the Bible. Born June 23. 1928, in Philadelphia. she was a daughter of the late William H. and Clarissa Edna (Osbom) Kettle. She was married to Anthony G. Thomas who preceded her in death. Two sons survive; William Brennan, Bristol, and George Thomas of Ohio. There are two grandsons and one great-grandson. She is also survived by a sister, Joan A. Bonnema of Shade Gap, two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Kettle; a brother, William Kettle; a grandson. Born September 10, 1906, in Entriken, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Bessie Jane (Morningstar) Cunningham. She was united in marriage to Frederic S. Park who preceded her in death Sept. 30, 1969. Three sons and one daughter survive; Frederic S. Park, Marlton, N.J.; Arthur B. Park, Pittsburgh: Douglas F Park. Driftwood; and Karen Sue Jermyn, Crestwood. N.Y. There are seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Ruth Boal STINSON, 92, of Edgewater Park, N.J., died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003. Born in Smithfield, she was the daughter of John N. and Florence (Hawn) Boal. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Stinson. She is survived by a brother, John Boal of Morehead City, N.C.. and the following nieces and nephews; Sandy Kraus, Colleen McWilliams, Patricia Barney, James Shugert, Kelly McCahan, Thomas McCahan, John McCahan, Michael McCahan. Mrs. Stinson was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Rancocas Road, Burlington. N.J. She graduated from Huntingdon High School and Juniata College. She then graduated from Temple University, Philadelphia, and Duke University in Durham. N.C. Mrs. Stinson was a teacher for the Burlington City schools, having taught over 25 years, retiring in 1974.
