    3. I didn't find Joshua Brown or William Wagoner in the History of Mt. Union, Shirleysburg and Shirley Township. In the Africa's History of Huntingdon Co. (1883) p. 248, Joshua Brown was one of the first officers of Three Springs Lodge, No. 790, I.O.O.F. Clay twp. p. 363 Springfield township. Under Villages and Hamlets - Maddensville.Among the early settlers in the vicinity of Maddensville was Joshua Brown, who owned a tract of land up the little Aughwick Creek, now owned by the Madden brothers. Mr. Brown died in the fore part of 1882 aged ninety years. William Wagoner played tuba in the Shade Gap Cornet Band, organized in Nov. 1880. William Wagner was a Constable in Springfield twp. in 1806. In 1820, a William Waggoner was constable, same twp. William Waggoner was Supervisor in 1816 & 1822 same twp. Wm Wagoner ( 1g) in 1830. In 1872, Joshua Brown was Supervisor of Springfield Twp. The 125th Regiment War of the Rebellion. "The loss of the regiment at Antietam was one hundred and fifty, of whom only four were missing, all the remainder being killed or wounded. Amont he latter was William C. Wagoner of F company." William C. Wagoner elected prothonotary Oct. 1860 & Oct 1863. Brady township under Hamlets and Villages William J Wagner is the present postmaster of the post office of Airy Dale about 5 miles from Millcreek. William G. Wagoner was a post master in the village of Mill Creek, Brady twp pre 1880. William H. Wagoner, Pvt. Fifth Regiment Co. D I hope some of this is helpful. Nance Joshua Brown and the other name is William > Wagoner/Wagner/Waggoner. I sure would appreciate it. > thanks, Kathy Wells. >
