JAN, I'm sorry to say your message was a little hard to follow......kind of choppy. But, let me say this, our problem is we can't get any further back than Joshua Brown b.ca 1765. So, we really don't know yet rather or not they might tie together. It is very possible because we do have some information on Joshua in Cumberland Co, ...as you say it was Huntingdon used to be Bedford and before that Cumberland. But I just don't see anything familiar yet. Wish I could be more help. We are still working on our Joshua so cross your fingers and maybe we will find some hint of exactly who his parents are and maybe it will tie into yours. Thanks, Kathy Wells. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jan Wimer" <jwimer@localnet.com> To: <PAHUNTIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2003 11:35 AM Subject: Re: Joshua Brown > I also interested in Brown line- My Brown's start at John Brown SR > born 1626 Priesthill, Ayrshire, Scotland Married Isabelle Wier 1682 > having children James b 1685 Scotland I have know other info and John > JR. 1884 Scotland , John was married to Frances McClellan and Hanna? > ---Frances Had children Andrew that died at sea 1720, Alexander 1722 > middletown, Dauphin co PA, (James SR. 1724 Lancaster Pa,) Benjamin 1726 > Pa, Joseph 1730 PA, (Matthew 1732 PA Married Elenore Lytle they had > John, Thomas Mary and other unnamed children in Big Springs, Cumberland > Co Pa) > I come from James SR Married Mary McClellan 1754 Cumberland co had six > children, He also married Eleanor Mordah having four children and > Susannah Simons > the children seem to live in many co of PA and than to KY and Ohio and IN > I was told that Cumberland co Pa was part of Huntingdon Co. > would your Brown's tie in to my line some how? > > Jan > > Kathy Wells wrote: > > >JANET, > > This could be very important information.
