Tatman Run is just a small stream that flows west out of southern Trough Creek Valley, out of the part called Plank Cabin Valley in all of the early documents, and it enters the Raystown Branch of the Juniata (well it did, now, it enters Raystown Lake, ever since the branch was dammed; Tatman's Run Boat Launch is a popular spot on the lake). State Highway 994 follows this route closely. > >The town of Entriken PA 16638 is now part of Lincoln Township (a later >derivative of Hopewell) and the other side across Tatman Gap that was in Union >in 1791 went into a new township, Tod (Todd) around 1838. The gap itself is >through Terrace Mountain. A few miles north of Tatman's Run, Trough Creek, >the larger stream, penetrates Terrace Mountain in a much steeper, more canyon >like gap, and that is the location of Trough Creek State Park. The former Pa. Dept' of Forest and Waters (now DCNR) made warranty maps of all areas of its holdings including some adjoining properties. i've seen a copy at the Huntingdon Co. Historical Soc'y library but don't remember how far out from the forest boundary they researched the line in that section. Of course when I speak of warrants, it's not the same as deeds, and there was an intervening patent which was the first title and is kept at the state not the county level. You should run the deeds back if at all possible... if you are serious about it. > >==== PAHUNTIN Mailing List ==== >Visit the Huntingdon county PaGenWeb site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~pahuntin >for information on county resources, cemeteries and other research >information. > >============================== >To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go >to: >http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
