It seems that there were other Long families. Joseph Long & Elizabeth Good had twelve children and resided in Germany Valley, PA from 1795 until his death in 1804. Their daughter, Catharine, married Jacob Lutz (my ggggrandfather) in 1788. Germany Valley is located in southern Huntingdon County, PA. Many of the Longs & Lutzes are buried in the cemetery adjacent to the Dunkard Church there. If the above coincides with any Long research, contact me. Dave Lutz

Hi Dave, We've corresponded in the past. I, too, am descended from Joseph Schnebele Long, through their daughter, Susanna, sister of your ancestor, Catherine. My line then comes down through Funks, Westons and (Kil)Kellys. Thanks for the note on German Valley. The only graveyard I've visited in Huntingdon county is one in Warriors Mark. Next trip to PA, I'll head down to the southern part of the county.
