Anna (Chilcote) & Harry Van Niman's son, Edgar D. Van Niman m-Francis Pillars who was the d/o George C. Pillars, Sr./Lulu Disbrow. Francis was the g-g-granddaughter of Elizabeth Roop m-William Lingenfelt. Here is Edgar Van Niman's obit: District Deaths Edgar D. Van Niman, 69, of Mattawan Route 1 Kalamazoo Gazette Sun April 28, 1968 page 54 Van Niman, Edgar D., Mattawan Route 1 - Passed away Saturday. Mr. Van Niman was born June 5, 1898, in Edgarton, Ohio, the son of Harry and Anna Chilcote Van Niman. He resided in the area for the past 45 years, and was retired from farming. He was a member of the Kalamazoo Free Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Frances; four sons, Ralph E. of Mattawan; Richard L. of Kalamazoo; Sgt. Wesley D., AUS in Germany; and Floyd E., of Paw Paw; four grandsons, one granddaughter, a brother, harry F. of Kalamazoo; and one nephew. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Truesdale South Chapel, Portage. My question is: Who are the parents & grandparents of Anna (Chilcote) Van Niman & is she related to the 2nd cousins, Christena Chilcote (m-Willam F. Roop) & Elizabeth Louisa Chilcoat (m-David Albun Saum)? Bobbi
