Barb, I don't know why your grandmother was quiet; I do know that mine was too; so were my mother and father. So I've been on a "digging" mission for over two years. I do know that my grandparents, father and aunt lived in Robertsdale; grandparents are buried in Broad Top City cemetery. I found the Huntingdon Historical Society, Huntingdon Courthouse and the Coal Miner's Museum in Robertsdale, especially Carolyn Carroll, to be very helpful. All of the above were born in Hainaut Province, Belgium.
