    1. Re: [PAHUNTIN] Warriors Mark Cemeteries!

    3. Bea, Surely someone more familiar with Warriors Mark will give you a better answer, but I know of one cemetery there. PA 350 is one of 2 roads that go through WM. It runs from route 45, near Water Street to 220, near Tyrone. As 350 nears WM, going generally north/south, the cemetery is on its west side, just south of the crossroads that marks the center of WM. I don't know if I ever told this story here, but if I did, please excuse. A few years ago, a Penn State fraternity brother, whom I'd known at that point for 35 years or so, came from NJ to NH for his annual ski trip. Bob was wearing a Penn State jacket as we carried our lunch trays through the lodge at Loon Mountain, in the White Mountains. "Love those Nittany Lions" greeted us as we passed one table. Stopping, we determined that she was several years behind us, lived in CT, but had deep roots in PA. Asked where, she said "In a little town that you never heard of." "Try me." Bob challenged. "Warriors Mark" she stated, smugly. Bob was flabbergasted! "You are not going to believe this, but many of my ancestors come from Warriors Mark!" I just stood there, stunned. Finally, I was able to blurt out "You are NOT going to believe this, but many of MY ancestors came from Warriors Mark!" We exchanged names of ancestors, determined that we weren't related. Later, I found that Bob's GGgrandfather, Anderson, served with my GGgrandfather, Kelly, in the 5th PA Volunteers during the Civil War. Kelly was from Huntingdon, but Weston, Hyskell, Dopp and many others were from WM. Ken in NH > Does anyone or can anyone tell me where and if there are any cemeteries in Warriors Mark ??? > In search of family members. > Would appreciate a listing as well as some sort of directions as to how to get there. > Thanks, Bea > beair@acsworld.com
