Varner died at her home in Oneida Township at 11:30 a. m. on Saturday, April 7, 1945, after an illness of six months. She was born in Huntingdon County on April 3, 1894, the daughter of Frank Rinker and Mary Marlin Rinker. Her husband Frank Varner, died in 1935. Surviving are her father, Frank Rinker of Huntingdon and these sons and daughters: Raymond L. Varner, Huntingdon R. D. 3; Mrs. Margaret Craig, Huntingdon; C. A. Varner, Altoona; Harry Varner, United States Army, serving in the Pacific area; Jean Varner, Bethlehem; Paul Varner, United States Army, overseas; and Dolores Varner, Bethlehem. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ethel Mack, Canton, Ohio; and one brother, Charles Bush, United States Navy; and the following half-brothers and half-sisters: Chalmer Rinker, Jamesburg, N. J.; Philip Rinker, Altoona; Franklin Rinker, Huntingdon; Mrs. Adah Yocum, Huntingdon R. D; Mrs. Gertrude Brown, Huntingdon, R. D.; Mrs. Flora Nale, Huntingdon; Mrs. Nora Miller, Jamesburg, N. J. ; Mrs. Martha Gill, Huntingdon, Mrs. Gladys McGahan, Huntingdon; Mrs. Pauline Lewis, Jamesburg, N. J. ; Miss Hilda Rinker, Huntingdon; and Mrs. Harry Cisney, Huntingdon. She was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren, Huntingdon. Mrs. Varner had been a resident of Oneida Township for the past twenty-two years. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 on Tuesday at Temple's funeral home, the Rev. Tobias F. Henry officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon.
