Mr. Haas, Mr. Adam Gahagen, to Miss Catharine Caragher, both of Hartslog settlement. ---------------------- Died--At Mifflintown, on Monday last, William Harris, Esq of that place. ---------At same place, a few days since, Mr. West Kinslo, Hatter. ----------------- An Act of erecting a middle District of the Supreme Court, passed last session--The counties of York, Adams, Dauphin, Cumberland, Franklin, Huntingdon, Mifflin, Northumberland, Luzerne, Lycoming, Centre, Clearfield, M'Kean, Potter, and Tioga form the district; the court is to be holden at Sunbury in Northumberland county, on the first Monday of July annually, to commence July 1, 1808. ---------------------------- NOEL HUGUS---------EXECUTED On Saturday, the 11th inst., was executed at Somerset, Pennsylvanian, pursuant to his sentence, NOEL HUGUS. He left the jail at about half an hour after 12 o'clock, and was turned off a few minutes before one. He died with the greatest intrepidity--mounting the cart with alacrity. Just before he was turned off, he declared himself innocent--said he forgave every person, but Koontz and the others who assisted in taking him. He confessed he had attempted some time since, to hang himself by cutting up his shirt and twisting it into a rope,--said he did not care about death--that he had faced it frequently, but disliked the kind of death he was about to experience--gave directions about tying the rope around his neck, &c. It is thought there were about 2,500 persons present.
