from Steve Kemp, Huntingdon Albert Rung was not a genealogist. He wrote a weekly article for the HUNTINGDON DAILY NEWS in the 1950s and 1960s. The two volumes published by the county historical society are reprints of some of his articles, not grouped by subject, but in chronological order as they appeared in the paper. They were poor sellers. Rung was interested in pioneer days, iron furnaces, the canal and the railroads, early buildings and persons of historical note.
