I Jacob Megahan of Walker Township in the County of Huntingdon and State of Pennsylvania being of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make and publish this as and for my last will and Testament in manner and form following to wit; In the first place I note and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be first fully paid as soon as convenient after my decease out of my estate by my Exector’s herein after named. In the second place, I give devise and bequeath one third of all the rest and residue of my estate real and personal whatsoever the same may be unto my wife Mary to have the same as long as she doth live and at her death to be equally divided among all my children. In the third place I give devise and bequeath all the rest of my estate to be equally divided with all my children except my son Bartelby (sp), I will and bequeath unto him five dollars as his portion of my estate and I also will and bequeath unto my grand daughter Mary Ann, married to Joseph Gahagan thirty dollars. This thirty dollars is to (be) paid to her out of my daughter Lydia’s portion of my estate and she the said Lydia receive thirty dollars less than the rest of my children, and my son David to receive one hundred dollars more than any of the rest of my children, and I will and bequeath unto my son Jacob five dollars and the remainder of his portion to his wife and children to be paid to them as they think proper. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my son’s Abraham and Benjamin to be sole Executor’s of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all other wills by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and Testament. Signed, sealed, published, pronounced & declared by the said Testator as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us who in the presence of each other and in presence of the Testator and at his request and at his request have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses. Campbell, Joseph McCoy Huntingdon County, P Before me the Register of the probate of wills and granting letters of administration in and for said County personally appeared William Campbell and Joseph McCoy who being duly sworn according to law doth depose and say that they were personally present and did see and hear the within named Testator, Jacob Megahan sign, seal , execute, publish, pronounce and declare the within instrument of writing as and for his last will and Testament, and signed their names thereto as witnesses in presence of each other and in the presence of the said Testator and at his instance and request and that at the time of such signing the said Testator was sound and disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief. Campbell Register Abraham Megahan and Benjamin Megahan, Exec’s of Jacob Megahan, late of Walker Township, deceased: Memorandum Letters Testamentary in common form were this day granted Abraham Megahan and Benjamin Megahan on the estate of Jaconb Megahan late of Walker township in the County of Huntingdon deceased. Inventory to be exhibited within thirty days from this date and a just and true account calculation and reckoning of their administration of said Estate within one year from the date hereof as when hereunto legally required.
