She had been seriously ill for one week prior to her death. Mrs. Hampton was born October 10, 1877 in Shade Gap, a daughter of James and Elizabth (McGee) Hall. She was married to William Hampton of Shade Gap who preceded her in death. The following children survive: Roy, Burnt Cabins, R.D.; Mrs. Lillian Snyder, Mrs. Mary Summers, Mrs. Hazel Varner and Bruce, all of Shade Gap. One child preceded her in death. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a brother, William Hall, of Churchtown. Mrs. Hampton was of the E.U.B. faith. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28, at 2 p.m. from the Pleasant Hill E.U.B. Church, Shade Gap, R.D. The Rev. Robert Shaffer of Altoona and the Rev. Darrell Woomer of Shade Gap will officiate and interment will be made in the adjoining church cemete! ry. Friends may call at the Ott funeral home in Orbisonia from 7 o’clock this Wednesday evening until 11 o’clock on Friday morning and at the church after 12 noon.
