I mistyped her name: Harriet M. I thought it was Harriet J. You may find her as, for instance "Mary H. ...." What ever the "M" stood for, her name appears as that. I have found variations of ages from census to census for the same person, and a difference in their relationship to the head of household. I read that census takers were permitted to ask a neighbor information about a family if they were not home on certain census. In the one case I found a step daughter was listed as a Grandchild, as was a young male in the household. I still haven't been able to confirm if in fact this young man was a grand son. I have found just because it is written on the census, death cert. or obituary doesn't mean it is absolutely correct. I try to find 3 sources that state the same information. Sometimes I study the hand writing of the census taker on the whole page to try to decipher how the person formed certain letters. I have missed entries by misreading an entry. Sorry about the wrong initial. Teresa Shade Anderson
