I have additional information concerning the Edgin Family from Shirley Township in Huntingdon County, PA; I am also searching for information about Miles and Leona Pearl Edgin. George J. Edgin's obituary was posted a couple weeks ago, as mentioned, his Father was Jacob Edgin. Jacob Edgin was widowed before his marriage to Leah Fields Edgin. Jacob and Leah Fields Edgin are buried at the Mount Union IOOF cemetery. Jacob Edgin's first wife was Isabella Barbara Miller Edgin. (I find records where the first and middle names are interchanged) The record of their marriage license is at the Huntington Co. Court House and in the Miller Family Bible. They had two children, Miles and Leona Pearl Edgin. Miles was mentioned in George's obituary as a brother, he was actually a half brother. Leona is not mentioned in the obituary at all. Jacob's parent's were Joshua and Phoebe Edgin. They are buried at Mount Nebo. Joshua was a Civil War veteran. There is a GAR marker at the tombstone. There is information about his service on the 1890 Surviving Civil War Soldiers census. Isabella Barbara Miller Edgin is buried at the Bethel Cemetery on Germany Valley Road, Shirley Township by her parents, Joseph and Mary Rohrer Miller. If anyone is researching the Miller connection with the Edgin family, I have Family Bible Records from the Miller's, a photo of Jacob and Isabella Edgin and other information I would be glad to share. As stated, I am searching for information about Miles and Leona P. Edgin. I am also searching for the names of Joseph Miller's (their Grandfather) parents. Joseph Miller was born in 1805 in Virginia.
