From Steve Kemp There are a couple of Gehrett baptisms at what would later be called Cassville Lutheran Church prior to 1827. From 1804 into the mid-1820s there is a good record of baptisms of members recorded in their church book. After that time the church was only irregularly served by pastors; the language of services was changed to English; and one must assume that membership fell off drastically. Cassville records are of little use to genealogists thru the rest of the 19th century (with a few exceptions). I'm not aware whether or not anything has been recorded from any Orbisonia churches from the 19th century. They do have a historical society in town. >RE: > >James Wilson Gehrett b.
