    3. G.C. Grove Hesston, Huntingdon County, Pa. Merchant: Born at Grafton, now called Hesston, Huntingdon County, Pa., October 16, 1868. A son of A.F. Grove, who was a merchant for twenty-five years. The father of A.F. Grove was Jacob Grove who died at the age of eighty-seven years. A.F. Grove died June 15, 1890, at the age of fifty-four years. He married Annie Corbin, who died in 1872. The Groves have been residents of this section for one hundred and twenty-five years. G.C. Grove began his early school training at Grafton, Pa., and later attended the Martinsburg School, a boarding preparatory school. He assisted his father in business and on June 27, 1890, he began his business career at Grafton, Pa., as a merchant. He has always enjoyed a good patronage. He is a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance church as advocated by A.B. Simpson, of New York. He is a strong adherent to its cause. He believes in the doctrine of the Democratic party. He has one brother, F.J. Grove, station agent, Hesston, Pa. On! e sister, Maud, married to J.M. Hoover, who died; remarried to Valentine Bush. One brother died in infancy; also a sister. G.C. Grove was married to Unity Rickeard, of Hesston, Pa., a daughter of Elijah and Sarah Rickeard. They have two sons, Elijah, with his father in business, and G.C., Jr., auto salesman, Huntingdon, Pa. Two daughters, Grace, married to Charles Zauzig, a signalman, Penna. R.R., Huntingdon, Pa., and Sarah, married to Charles Reams, Philadelphia, Pa.
