The Register and Recorder has a transcription of the 1852-1853 Vital Records. It is kept in the office and is available upon request. The HCHS has a copy of this, also. The 1894-1905 birth and death records books are in the Register and Recorders Office and are open for research. Be aware that both sets of records are woefully incomplete.
