    3. George Edgar Gehrett Smithfield Township, Huntingdon Co., Pa. Merchant: Born at Huntingdon, Pa., December 12, 1866; attended Huntingdon grade schools. A son of James Wilson Gehrett, who died in 1914, aged eighty-six years, by trade a gunsmith, and of Elizabeth (Hicks) Gehrett, who died in 1912, aged sixty-five years. George E. Gehrett was engaged in the meat and provision business on Fifth street, Huntingdon, Pa., for fifteen years; also employed at carpet mill in Philadelphia. During the World War was a guard at the Mount Union Powder Plant. At present he conducts a grocery and confectionery, business at Smithfield, a suburb of Huntingdon, Pa. Both he and his wife belong to the First Methodist Church and Sunday School of Huntingdon, Pa. Belongs to Maccabees, No. 269, Huntingdon, Pa. Is a Democrat. Has two sisters, Ella, married to Edward Harpster, Franklinville, Huntingdon County, Pa.; Elsie, married to Meade Oakman, Huntingdon, Pa., and Mrs. Samuel Kennedy, deceased. George Edgar Gehrett was marrried to Caroline Barnes, dau! ghter of Thomas and Elizabeth Barnes. The Gehretts have on son, James W., married to Catharine Smith. They have two daughters, Virginia and Bertha, ten years. Two son, James, eight years; Robert, five years. Hunting is Mr. Gehrett's favorite sport.
