Milton H. Garner Aitch P.O., Huntingdon County, Pa. State Highway Department: Was born at Entriken, Huntingdon County, Pa., May 28, 1876, and at Entriken began to learn the mysteries of an education. He is a son of John G. Garner, a Civil War veteran, 53rd Reg., Penna. Vol. Inf. Fought at the battle of Gettysburg and at Bull Run. Was a farmer for several years; an employee of the Huntingdon and Broad Top Railroad, who died in 1923, aged eighty-two years. He was married to Jane B. Showalter, who died at the age of forty-seven years. Milton H. Garner has been practically all his life a farmer, witht the exception of a few years with the H. & B.T.R.R. He is at present with the State Highway Department, having commenced in 1929. Both he and his wife are members of the Reformed church of Entriken, Pa. He was on election board at Grafton for one year; also one term on the school board at same place. He is a Republican. He has one brother living, Harry S., of Lincoln Township, a farmer. John B. and Philip I. died in infa! ncy; Grant was killed on the railroad, aged forty-seven years. One sister, Maggie, who is married to George Wallace, Lincoln township. Minnie May died in infancy. He was married to Mary L. Kyler, a duaghter of John and Nancy Kyler. One son, Clair O., married to Grace E. Grubb, Penn Township. Two daughters: Almeda G., married to Stever Forshey, of McConnellstown, Pa.; Edith, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one daughter, Ruth, deceased, two years old.
