Foster Adam Snyder Sr., 84, Three Springs, died at 4:35 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2006, at his home in Clay Township, Huntingdon County. Born June 13, 1922, in Altoona, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mabel (Romig) Snyder. He was married to Mabel R. Taylor, who preceded him in death on February 11, 2000. Surviving are the following children: Foster Snyder Jr., Manns Choice, Pa.; Jean Benson, Orbisonia; Darlene Montgomery, Rockhill Furnace; Arlene Yetter, Fort Littleton; Unice Kay Cromwell, Three Springs; 20 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Roy, George and Emory Snyder, all of Three Springs. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in Europe. He was a retired construction worker. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, at Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia. Pastor Sam Stoey officiated. Burial was made in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
