Hi, I have worked on the Joshua Brown & Charlotte Morris line for years. There were a few older researchers that connected this Joshua Brown to the quakers in Lancaster/chester Counties. But I have proven that our Joshua Brown is NOT the son of Joshua Brown & Hannah Gatchell in Lancaster/Chester County. Their son Joshua is documented quite thoroughly in the Quaker records and the probate records. Instead of explaining it again or relisting all of the proof, I will show you two websites that explain it all. This first one is all of my proof and notes on Joshua Brown & Charlotte Morris who I descend from. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=katwells&id=I0518 This second website is the Joshua Brown & Hannah Gatchell lineage showing all of my proof. http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=kathywells3&id=I0035 I do want to say that we have a large group now that is studying Joshua Brown & Charlotte Morris. Thanks to an anonymous donor, our group also has DNA proof now to prove that William S. Brown b.1758 that was in Huntingdon Co. and moved later to Ohio, was either a brother to our Joshua Brown or a very close cousin. I also have proof that Joshua had close relations (most likely brothers) to Daniel Brown and James Brown. On the other side, those that descend from William S. Brown have proof (a bible record) that his father's name was James, and he had brothers Thomas and Joseph. We don't know if the James they both are connected to could be the father of all of these men??? That is what we are working on. If you want to join our group to find out what we have found contact Bobby Brown at: Bobby@Brown.Org Thanks a bunch, Kathy Wells. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Max Panal" <maxpanal@gmail.com> To: <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com>; <pahuntin@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 20, 2007 7:59 AM Subject: Re: [PAHUNTIN] Elihu and Nancy Brown tombstone in Old BaptistCemetery > >From Steve Kemp, Huntingdon, with families from Trough Creek Valley. > Question about whether the Brown history (Springfield Township, this > county; > prior to that, Lancaster) ends with Joshua Brown, Sr. Are there sources > that > are reliable or plausible, of the generation of JB Sr. and his wife > (name?) > or even before... just curious, I am no relation.
