Edward Christopher Fritchey (b 25Aug1834; d 18Sept1927)and Adolphina Carolina Richter (b 9Aug1836; d 26Aug1921) were married November 18, 1856, in Snakes Spring Valley, Bedford County, PA. They settled in Tatesville where the first five of their children were born. The family attended St. James Lutheran Church in Huntingdon. Frank and Edward Andrew (my ggrandfather) worked for the Huntingdon and Broad Top Railroad as carpenters. Edward, Adolphina, and children Anna Lena, David and Richard are all buried in Riverview Cemetery Edward and Adolphina's headstones show incorrect birth dates. The above dates are correct. Their children: Frank (29Mar1858) Samuel B. (29Apr1859 - 3Nov1924 Edward Andrew (4July1860 - 29Oct1946) William Clemens (25Nov1861 - 18Oct1862) Julius Anton (20Jan1863 - 12Jan1872) Mary Jane (23May1864 - 28May1911) Charles Clemens (26Apr1866) Anna Lena (26Mar1868 - 2Apr1881) William Harry (27July1870 - 16Mar1958) David Richard R. I don't know why there are no birth dates for David and Richard, but I will bet they were never recorded and/or no headstones. If they have headstones, there may be nothing on them. I will ask my cousin what he found. That is probably enough for you to absorb right now, and I don't want to branch off to the other siblings, but if I find any more tidbits of information on Edward and Adolphina, I will pass them along. At least we have those two in common. Take care. Marge Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
