I don't have 'your' Darby, but do have an earlier one in my data base that may give you some clues. Darby Chilcott/Chilcoat, b c 1774 Baltimore MD, was the son of Humphrey Chillcott and Sarah Ensor (who were married 3 Mar 1772, St. John's, Baltimore) Darby died before 15 Sep 1808 in Huntingdon Co, PA. In the 1850 census of Cromwell twp, Huntingdon Co, his widow Sarah was still living in Cromwell twp in the 1850 census. Darby born c 1774 MAY be the brother of Richard Chilcoat Jr who was also married in Baltimore MD: From the History of Huntingdon County, Union Twp - Richard Chilcott Son of Richard and Rachel Chilcott, was born in the town of Bridgewater, Somersetshire, England, on February 24, 1746; came to America and lived for some time in Baltimore County, Maryland, where on the 29th day of May 1774 he married Ruth daughter of Zebulon Lovell. Their children: Mary, Rachel and Lydia all married and moved to the western States. William born April 3, 1784 near Westminster, Maryland Richard Zebulon Ruth born September 3, 1789 married Dr. Jesse Wright Ethan engaged in the iron business in Petersburg and died there Julia married Peter Hess Richard Chilcott died August 10, 1820 and his wife, Ruth, died August 10, 1810. He then married Susannah Lovell on February 26, 1811, but had no children by the second marriage.
