The confusion may arise from this WATERS family obit: Lola Grace Waters, 89, a resident of the Extended Care Unit of the Fulton County Medical Center, and formerly of McConnellsburg, died Tuesday, October 10, 2000, at the Fulton County Medical Center. Born July 8, 1911, in Lockes Valley near Shade Gap, she was the daughter of the late Luther S. and Luella Locke Cornelius. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira K. Waters, and by three sisters and one brother. She was a homemaker, a member of the McConnellsburg United Methodist Church and the McConnellsburg Area Senior Citizens Center. She was the last of her immediate family. She is survived by three daughters: Sara Jane “Sally’’ Stratton of Fayetteville, PA; Dorothy Ray of McConnellsburg; and Margaret Newman of Hustontown; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, October 12, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, with Rev. Belvy White officiating. Burial will be made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bt. Cabins, PA. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. with the family present from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday, at which time there will be no viewing. Arrangements were in charge of the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Inc., 322 North First Street, McConnellsburg. Unknown newspaper I know that Dublin Township was formed in 1767 in Cumberland County but was contained in Bedford County after Bedford was formed (from Cumberland) in 1771. After Huntingdon County was created in 1787 (from Bedford), Dublin Township was split between Huntingdon and Bedford counties and after 1850 (when Fulton Co. was formed) between Huntingdon and Fulton. So I think the confusion exists because Dublin Township exists today in both counties -- do I have this right?
